A wedding party browsing in the Romance section.

"Kiss me beneath the milky twilight
Lead me out on the moonlit floor.
Lift your open hand
Strike up the band and make the fireflies dance
Silver moon's sparkling
So kiss me"

-Sixpence None the Richer

No fireflies were in attendance tonight as Steve and Kayla recieved their wedding guests for dinner and dancing on Johnson Terrace. There were, however, many little girls and little white lights dancing to the eclectic mix of songs spun by DJ Jeff from Complete Music.

A buffet was provided by Brian of Lettuce Cater. The menu included slow-roasted beef and turkey, mashed potatoes and a gorgeous plate of grilled vegetables in a balsamic reduction. The 7-tiered cake, from a local home-based-business was devilishly delicious, and served in portions that exceeded the size of the plate.

As the Stillwater skyline began to blush pink with twilight, the snappy coral geraniums and roses that had popped as table centerpieces faded into darkness, bested by the thousands of icicle lights twinkling around the perimeter of the terrace.

The reception ended soon after dark, with the majority of wedding guests heading out to downtown Stillwater for drinks at Marx and dancing at the Water Street Inn.
