Government Shutdown

There have been a lot of people asking about how a government shutdown would affect weddings at Stillwater Public Library.  At this time, the library receives no state funding, and Washington County marriage licenses will not be affected.  It is my understanding that other counties will also continue to operate, but if your marriage license is coming from a county other than Washington County, please double check.

The Stillwater lift bridge would be raised, and left open so boat traffic can pass through; vehicles will need to use the I-94 river crossing.  Update:  The lift bridge is considered a critical function, and will continue to be raised and lowered.
