Wedding guests are encouraged to use this ramp, as it will privide safe, off-street parking. The ramp is periodically patrolled by security. Once the ramp is full, we suggest that your guests park in the city-owned parking ramp, also located on 3rd Street. The cost is $5/vehicle on Saturdays. Spots can be reserved in this ramp in groups of 25. Please contact the event coordinator for more information.
Vehicles requiring more than 8 feet of clearance will need to make other arrangements for parking. If you have a guest using a handicap van, please make the event coordinator aware of this situation. We will need to make special arrangements for your guest to easily park and enter the building.
Parking is free of charge for wedding guests. During library hours, spaces cannot be reserved inside the library parking ramp. Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis, and wedding guests will compete with library patrons. After library hours, library renters have exclusive use of the parking ramp until the end of their event. If your event is on a holiday weekend, or on the weekend of a major downtown event, the Library may require you to hire a parking attendant. The library's event coordinator will make these arrangements, and you will be charged approximately $30/hour for this service.
Vehicles CANNOT park overnight in the Library parking ramp. At the end of Saturday events, the ramp is closed and locked. Vehicles locked inside will have to remain there until 10:00 a.m. on Monday morning.
Special arrangements can be made for your vendors to park in our 4th Street parking lot and use our catering ramp. This gives your vendors direct access to the kitchen and terrace. The 4th Street lot/catering ramp may only be used between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. This parking area is on PRIVATE PROPERTY. Please make sure that vendors have recieved a parking permit and the special instructions for parking in the 4th Street Lot. Please see the Library Noise Policy for more information. If your vendors block the access of our neighbors to their homes/driveways or park in the firelane, their vehicles will be IMMEDIATELY ticketed and towed. There is zero-tolerence for unauthorized parking in the 4th Street parking lot. Neighborhood residents/businesses and security are monitering parking closely. This entrance is for vendors such as caterers and florists ONLY. This ramp is located very near to a bed & breakfast, and several private residences, and we ask for your cooperation in keeping this ramp open for future weddings.
